How to do exploits as a praise and worship leader/music minister

0
victoria orenze praise and worship leader

1) Have a minimum of one day of fasting and praying for your ministry in a week.

Prayer and fasting is inevitable for you to do exploit. It is even advisable you

wake up in the night and pray everyday for your ministry or before a ministration.

2)Score/learn minimum of one song in a week, dont be lazy, dont wait till you have a song

to lead before you score/learn new songs.

3) Have a personal rehearsal time for yourself, dont wait till you have a

general rehearsal before you rehearse. If you have a personal rehearsal time for yourself, it will show when you find

yourself in a general rehearsal. In one way or the other, you will find out that you are ahead of others.

4) This year, if possible learn an instrument, if possible also learn the music rudiments, they will help you a lot.

5) Pray for fresh anointing this year, anointing of yesterday or last years is not

enough. There is no maximum level of anointing, the more you pray for it, the more

heaven releases.

6) Read the bible daily, meditate on it the more, memorize scriptures, you call

yourself a praise leader, you should study and know the God you praise, you need to

have more understanding of HIM that you praise.

7) Dont compete this year, no one is your competetor, you are a minister, you are to

complement other ministers not to compete with others. You have started singing for devil

the moment you start competing with a fellow praise/worship leader.

8) In this year, dont just sing any song because people like to dance or hear it, you are singing unto God.

Sing only songs that glorify God, dont lead the congregation to dance worldly dance steps, you are God’s

minister not an entertainer–why are you teaching the congregation shoki and skelewu ? do you know the

origin of those dance steps?

9) This year, try and listen to God the more, tell God to give you songs, write songs of your own, start

composing through the inspiration and help of the holy spirit, God is ever ready to give you a new praise and worship

song the whole world is waiting for a song from God through you.

10) Desire to bring down the mighty presence of God through your ministration this year, dont sing to impress people, only desire to

impress God, it is enough of people dancing and

sweating without any positive change in their lives, it is enough of all the shout. Desire miracles , signs and wonders to happen during your

ministrations this year. Desire for the sick to be heal, the blind to see, the lame to work, etc during your ministration this year.

it is possible and God will do it.

New year letter to all choristers for 2020

0

Mr muyiwa a saxophonist

Compliments of the season. Take a moment to think about this! It’s a short read.

Meanwhile, have the answer to this question at the back of your mind: How long have you been singing in the choir?

Have you heard of what a First School Leaving Certificate is? That’s what you get after completing your primary education, and it takes you about 6 years to accomplish.

How about SSCE?
Yeah, you’re right. You get that after spending 6 years in secondary school.

Then, you must have heard of OND, HND, and Bachelor’s degree right? Depending on your category of discipline, this should take you not less than 2-4 years to complete.

And also Master’s degree, one to two years.

You also must have come across the terms Phd. and Prof., nonetheless, that is another level entirely.

Now, here is what you should think about.

If the choir was a school, how long have you been in this school? Then, what can you show to justify the number of years you have spent in the choir.

By number of years, and according to the way you brag about it sometimes, you are probably a Masters degree holder in your choir, or a doctorate degree holder if you’ve spent more years.

Now, here is the sad truth.
Throughout these years, you have not improved a single bit.
The same way you used to sing nine years ago is the same way you sing today.

The same way you used to play the piano five years ago is the same way you do it today. There’s absolutely no improvement at all. That is really sad.

If you’ve really thought about this,
then you need to talk to yourself this new year, 2020

Say to yourself:

“I will not remain the same chorister in this year 2020.”

“I will sing better than I used to. I will learn to read music in staff notation and in solfa notation. I will learn at least one musical instrument. I will be punctual in my choir. I will learn all that I can to make myself better. I will …….. (fill in the blank spaces)”

This should be our mentality in this New Year, 2020 . Let us improve on ourselves and our choir will be a better place. Learn something today, and if you know, teach someone.

Happy New Year to you!
With love, from Naija Choristers.

Stop gisting during the word – Nathaniel Bassey

Dear gospel musician,

You are first a Christian before an instrumentalist. So you need
the word of God and a prayer life to grow like other believers .

God doesn’t offer you an. exemption because you play an instrument. If you understand this, you won’t stay out
gisting during the Word!!!

Nathaniel Bassey

Un-serious instrumentalist should read this

I attended a meeting years ago, as soon as I entered the hall, my eyes went straight to the guy playing the drums, he was speaking in tongues throughout the worship session while playing, same for the pianist. Tears were all over them and I could almost grasp their unspeakable joy while the teaching was on.

It is actually different from the instrumentalists who are either chewing gum or laughing at the ladies at the choir stand while playing and the worst of it all; folks who suddenly disappears from the church to go gist outside immediately the pastor mounts up to preach.

I love the things of the Spirit and I always love when people respond to the things of the Spirit. It determines whether you came to church to be a blessing or for a show.

There’s difference between displaying your talents/skills and using them for the glory of God. Once the discipline of the Spirit is lacking in any skilled individual, the outcome will be a display of the arm of flesh.

We know God by revelation, but we know his ways by surrender. God cannot bless the talents and skills you have not fully surrendered to Him. While you’re desiring to be known or famous; He’s asking you to become faceless, because in His face, your face is seen. Letting go of whatever you hold most dear is real infinite gain.

Do all to His glory!

Pastor Ransome Adewale
